Frederick Ira Milburn, 79 of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey went home to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday September 1, 2020, surrounded by his family. Fred was a devoted Christian, a dedicated father, husband, PopPop and more.
Fred was born to Ira and Helen Milburn (predeceased) on February 1, 1941
He worked and retired from New Jersey Bell / Verizon after 35 years.
Fred had many interests, passions and accomplishments throughout his life. As a young boy, he earned his badge as an Eagle Scout. He then served in the Coast Guard Reserve for 8 years. His dedication led him to becoming a lifetime member and a Chief of the Milmay Volunteer Fire Department. Fred also became a Boy Scout leader for the Milmay Troop. In later years, Fred was a member of the Odd Fellows Union Lodge.
Having Jesus Christ as his savior, Fred became a member of Greentree Ministries where he worshiped the Lord.
Fred always loved hunting, fishing and camping throughout his life, which eventually led to him and Doris becoming members of the Clam Diggers RV Club. They enjoyed quality time traveling from campsite to campsite. His passion and his love for his family will forever live on.
Fred was preceded in death by his first wife of 27 years Barbara "Bobbie" Milburn (Falarz), his brother, Ira "Buddy" Milburn, Mother and Father in law, Marian and Ted Falarz, Sister in law, Shirley Frank (Falarz), and step Grand-daughter Christina Kraft.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 27 years Doris Milburn (Ade), his sons, Darren Milburn (Terry) and Brian Milburn (Michelle DiPaolo). Step daughters, Kelly Hubbs and Casey Kraft.
Step Grandchildren, Brian Kraft (Brielle), Joshua Kraft, Kelsey Kraft, Ethan Hubbs and Cindy Gulla.
Step Great Grandson, Zachary Melvin. His Sisters in law, Barbara Milburn and Theodora "Cookie" Campagna (Falarz), Brother in law, Nick Campagna, Nieces, Darlene Hinrichsen (Frank) (Mike) and Sandra Sizer (Frank) (Mike), Melanie Bowie (Campagna) (Chris), Stephanie Nowak (Chris) and Christy Miller (David).
Nephews, Ken Frank (Stacy), Matt Campagna (Kim), Michael Campagna (Jen) and Mark Campagna (Dana).
Family and Friends may gather in remembrance of Fred from 9:30 - 11:00 on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, New Jersey 08330, Immediately following we will proceed to the Cemetery at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 12th Avenue, Dorothy, New Jersey 08317.
