Joanne L. O'Connor (nee Stouch)

Joanne was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph and Mary Stouch in 1950. Born and raised in "Philly," with her brother "Bud" (Harry & Wife Mary Stouch). In 1969, Joanne married the love of her life, Terrence (Terry) O'Connor, Sr. Joanne and Terry shared over 51 years of amazing love and raised two boys, Terry and Shawn (Dawn). Joanne was a dedicated wife and Mother. Her family meant everything to her. Joanne's love for her family was evident throughout her life, especially over the past 5+ months that Joanne fought hard through many health challenges. She was an example of complete strength; and her influence lives on forever in those who know and love her well. Forever in the hearts of her family and friends, she will be missed deeply but cherished always.

Joanne worked for over 30 years at American Marking Systems in Philadelphia. Joanne befriended many through work, years of vacationing at the family summer camper, and wherever she lived, including lifelong friends of old from "the block" in Northeast Philly to her recent home in Mays Landing for the past 11 years. Joanne was known for her creativity and enjoyed her crafts immensely. She had a solid faith in her Lord.

Joanne/Mom, you will be missed deeply but never forgotten ever. Despite our grief, we thank God for so many years of life and good memories together. Rest easy, "our rock and heart" until we meet again. May God bless you.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4th from 10AM to 12Noon. A service will be held at noon followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The American Heart Association. Thank you.

Father Terry and Family,

From the bottom of our hearts, our very deepest condolences. Your wonderful Mother sure did something right because she raised wonderful sons and leaves behind so many loving but broken hearts. May your Mother's soul rest peacefully as her spirit lives on in those she loved so dearly.

God bless, Lou and Nikki Vilardo

The first time I met Joanne was to celebrate Christmas of 2017. My immediate impression was that she was a loving, kind, open minded and happy person. Joanne loved her family and enjoyed music, telling stories and she had a gift for creating arts and crafts and bargain shopping.... in a word.... delightful.
My most cherished memory of Joanne was the night that Terry Jr and Shawn surprised her and Terry Sr with a 50th anniversary party. That night Joanne was radiant with love of her family and lifelong friends, She will be sorely missed but the legacy of her love will live on in the way she touched others especially her family.
Thank you Joanne for sharing yourself with us. May your eternal Joy be complete.
