Obituary

Edward J. Dorzan, Jr., “Gig” 50, of Mays Landing, passed away unexpectedly due to an unknown infection that went to his brain. His wife and sister were right by his side.

He was such a hard-working man, who never stopped from sun up to sun down. You name it, he could fix it. He would help anyone who asked.

When he wasn’t working, he would spend time outside either in his garage, taking his dog, his best buddy, for walks at the park, going to flea markets with his wife and sister, or playing two rounds of golf with his father-in-law, his golf buddy, and his brother.

He was such a loving and protective husband to his wife Sheanne of 26 wonderful years. He is also survived by his fur baby Hazard; three brothers: Joe (Marina) of Newfield, Martin of Millville, and Darin of Rosenhayn; one sister Nora (Keith) Kelley of Port Elizabeth; his step-mother Becky of LaBelle, FL; his in-laws Fred & Teresa Mead of Bridgeton; two sisters-in-law: Stacy (Brian) of Belleplain and Sabrina (Frank) of Longwood, FL; his nieces Holly, Dana, and Haley; his nephews Keithy (Krista), Buddy (Dana), Joe Joe, Barrett, Emmitt, and Mason; his great-nephew Benjamin and great-niece Gracie; his step brothers and sisters: Scott, Kelly, Kevin, Kim, Ruthann, and Kenny; plus many other family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to come pay your respects on Monday, July 20, from 5-6:30 pm at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. Casual attire please. Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, sympathy cards may be sent to his wife Sheanne at 6434 Pittsburgh Ave., Mays Landing, NJ 08330.

Remembering the all-night poker games every Friday night then going to Johnnies or ordering Denny’s for breakfast. Then there was the time all 4 of us drove from Port Elizabeth to your house in like 3 feet of snow absolutely stuffed on top of each other in Mark’s pickup truck. And so many more memories. Such fun and carefree times. Sheanne, Nora, and family, words can’t express how sad I am for the loss of Gig. He was a great guy who was always there to help everybody. It makes absolutely no sense and proves life truly is not fair.

With love,
Tina Canann (Kelley)

Gig was always there for all family events, holidays, birthday parties, etc. He was literally there throughout my whole life. When I was little, I compared his laugh to SpongeBob's, even though it really doesn't sound that much alike lol.
Our families lost a great man, a man that no one will ever forget. Mason will most definitely know all about his Uncle Gig when he gets older. Maybe Gig and Trooper have reunited (if you know, you know)!
Rest easy Gig, gone but never forgotten.

Love always,
Sabrina, Frank, & Mason
