Obituary for David Lee Hart

David Lee Hart
David Lee Hart, 72, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Dave was born on April 28, 1945 to Carla and Ernest Hart. He was raised in Tacoma, Washington and was a 1963 graduate of Franklin Pierce High School.

He attended the University of Puget Sound, before enlisting in the United States Navy. He married Christine Hart in 1967 and they moved to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Dave worked as a Pit Boss For Harrah's Lake Tahoe, before volunteering to move to NJ in 1979 to train employees for the opening of Caesar's Atlantic City, where he worked as a Pit Boss until his retirement.

Dave was most known for his quiet, intellectual and sweet nature. He enjoyed reading, traveling , listening to music and spending time with his grandsons and casino industry friends. Although he lived in NJ, he traveled home to his beloved Washington state often.

Dave is predeceased by his parents, Carla and Ernest Hart, brother-in -law, Lee Henricksen, who raised him; a nephew, Jon Henricksen and a niece, Karen Williams. He is survived by his sister, Evon Henricksen, who lovingly raised him; two nephews, Tim and Mark Henricksen; a niece, Nancy Six, all of Washington state; his friend, Christine Hart; a son, Michael (Joanie Di Martino), a daughter, Jennifer Parks (Charles), Grandsons, Ethan Matuzsan, Dante DiMartino-Hart and Luke Parks; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A special thank you to the doctor's and nurses affiliated with the Philadelphia VA and University of Pennsylvania PADRECC Clinic for installing the deep brain stimulator that made Dave symptom free for 15 years; the wonderful nurses, nurses aides, activity coordinators and staff at Brandywine Living at Brandall Estates and Compassionate Care Hospice.

A private service will be held in Powers Lake, North Dakota.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation at
